Coachability – Its Importance to Developing Players

Duration: 10 minutes

Arrigo Saachi, the great Italian coach, said the greatest quality of the greatest players was humility — they never stop learning.  Coachability is the ability of a player whatever their level to take guidance from the coach and use it to constantly improve their performance.

In this film Bill Beswick discusses coachability with Coach Steve Round and Phil Neville (Captain of Everton and with over 50 caps for England).  The importance of coachability is underlined with both Coach Round and Phil Neville explaining how it has influenced them.
